Cheese straws are a favorite of many kids, and by using self rising flour, we take a lof of the complex measuring out of this recipe.

Cheese Straws

Serving Size: 100 – 2 inch straws

Notes:
These will make a great aftershool snack, or you may even want to pack these in a lunch.

Ingredients:
6 C. sharp cheese grated
3 sticks butter
3 1/2 C. self-rising flour
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper

Preparation:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Allow butter to softed at room temperature. Mix together grated cheese and butter. Add flour and pepper gradually. Blend until smooth. Put dough in a cookie press and press out in long straws on greased cookie sheets. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until light golden brown. Do not overbake.
