These are great for a lunch or even a hearty after school snack.
Ingredients:
10 Hot Dogs (regular size, not jumbo, cut in half)
1 Pkg. Pillsbury Corn Bread Twist (found in the dairy case)
Vegetable Oil (deep frying)
Preparation:
Cut hot dogs in half and dry on paper towels. Carefully unwrap corn bread stick dough and separate into groups of two, laying sided by side, press and seal the two pieces together. Roll out the two joint twist into a 5 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ inch sheet. Cut rolled sheet in half and carefully wrap one piece of wiener in each half sheet. Seal sides and ends of dough on hot dog. Use a little water for sealing if needed. Fry puppy’s in hot oil until golden. Drain on paper towels. The kids will love these little puppy’s. The kids can dip them in mustard or your favorite cheese sauce.
