Homemade Butter
Did you know your kids can make homemade butter? Making butter is very easy to do, and best of all it isn’t a messy project. Next time you have a special meal why not let your kids shake up a batch of homemade butter and let them help you with part of your special meal?

Homemade Butter

Notes:
This is a family holiday favorite around our house. Let the young ones make the butter for your special dinner.

Ingredients:
1 16 oz. carton of whipping cream (use only whipping cream)
1 clean jar with lid

Preparation:

Pour whipping cream into jar. Tighten lid and shake away. You will take for around 15 to 20 minutes. When this has done, the butter will come out of the solution. Strain off buttermilk, and enjoy. It is optional that you may wish to salt the butter.
