2 Round Cake Pans (8 1/2″)
2 Containers Ready To Spread Frosting (white)
1 – 14 oz Package Shredded Coconut
1 Tube Pink Decorating Gel (whiskers)
4 Dark Jelly Beans (eyes)
2 Pink Jelly Beans (nose)
Cotton Candy (pink or white for tails)
1 Sheet White Construction Paper (outer ears)
1 Sheet Pink Construction Paper (inner ears)
Easter Candy Optional
Prepare cake as directed on package and place in round cake pans that have been greased and dusted with flour. When cake is finished baking, cool, and carefully remove from cake pans. Cut cake straight down the middle and frost the top of one half and lay the other piece on top of the first half. You will have two half cakes with frosting in the middle. Let the cakes rest for about a hour so the frosting will set. After the frosting is set place the cake on the presentation plate that you will be displaying them on. Stand the cake on the edge that has been cut. This will look like a half moon. Frost the entire cake and put coconut all over the cake. Place the jellybeans for eyes and the one for the nose. With the gel draw a few whiskers on the little bunnies. Carefully pat the cotton candy into a ball and place the tails on the bunnies. Cut the white construction paper for the ears, long oval ear shaped pieces about 6″ long. Cut the pink inner ear about 4 1/2″ long. With a little glue place the pink piece on the top of the center of the white ear. Carefully place the ears on the bunny’s side of the head. The ears can be held with toothpicks. Place a little Easter grass and candy pieces around the rabbits and you will have a delightful Easter Cake. You might want to try different sizes of cake pans. You could have a little bunny patch.
